Hyaluronic acid gel placed to restore structure where volume has been lost.
From £280Hyaluronic acid used in the lips for hydration, definition or a modest increase in size.
A soft, flexible gel is placed in the lip in small amounts, usually with a needle for the border and a cannula for the body. The aim is proportion rather than volume: a lower lip roughly one and a half times the upper, a defined border, and movement that still looks like yours. Most first treatments use half a millilitre or less.
One treatment with a two week review. Repeat at nine to twelve months.
Not used if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, or if you have an active cold sore. If you get cold sores, tell us and we will arrange antiviral cover first, because treatment can trigger an outbreak.
Every treatment here is assessed at consultation first. This list covers the common reasons we would not proceed, and it is not exhaustive. Bring your medication list and tell us about anything you are being treated for.
Much more than you expect for the first day or two. Lips swell more than anywhere else on the face. Judge the result at two weeks and not before, and do not book a wedding for next week.
Yes. A hydration approach uses a very soft product to improve texture and moisture without adding noticeable size. It is a common request and a sensible starting point.
Wait the full two weeks first, because early swelling misleads almost everyone. If you still do not like it after that, it can be dissolved, and we will do that without argument.
