How it works
Hyaluronic acid gels come in different thicknesses, and the right one for a job depends on how much lift it needs to give and how mobile the area is. A firmer gel goes deep against bone to rebuild structure, a softer one sits shallower to smooth. Placement is usually by cannula in higher risk areas, which reduces bruising and the chance of entering a vessel.
Typical course
One treatment, reviewed at two weeks. Repeat at nine to eighteen months depending on the area and product.
Who it is not suitable for
Not used if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, have an active skin infection or cold sore in the area, or have had a recent dental procedure. We decline treatment where the request would look disproportionate, and we will explain why.

Questions people ask
Can it be reversed?
Yes. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme injection, which is one of the main reasons we use them rather than permanent products. That option is also the emergency treatment if a vessel is ever compromised.
What are the real risks?
Bruising and swelling are common and settle. The serious risk is filler entering a blood vessel, which is rare but can affect the skin or, very rarely, vision. We use cannulas in high risk areas, we keep the reversal agent on site, and we will talk you through the warning signs before you leave.
Will it look obvious?
Not if the amount matches the face. Most obvious filler is the result of too much placed over several years without anyone stepping back. We photograph every visit specifically so that drift is visible to us.
