How it works
A handpiece is moved continuously over the area while radiofrequency raises the temperature of the skin to a therapeutic range and holds it there for several minutes. Collagen fibres contract at that temperature and the heat prompts the skin to produce more over the following weeks. There is nothing to break the surface, so it is comfortable and cumulative rather than dramatic.
Typical course
Six to eight sessions weekly, then a maintenance session every two to three months.
Who it is not suitable for
Not used over a pacemaker or implanted electrical device, during pregnancy, over active infection, or over a metal implant in the treatment area. Tell us about any recent filler in the area.

Questions people ask
How does it compare to ultrasound tightening?
It is milder per session and needs a course, but it is comfortable and it improves skin quality broadly. Ultrasound gives more lift in one visit. Many people use radiofrequency for maintenance between ultrasound treatments.
Does it hurt?
It feels like a warm stone being moved over the skin. If it becomes too hot at any point, say so and we will drop the setting, because comfort and effectiveness are not in conflict here.
Is it safe over filler?
Generally yes, and we work at conservative settings over treated areas. We ask you to wait two weeks after filler before booking.
