CoolSculpting
Controlled cooling that reduces a defined pocket of fat without needles or surgery.
From £350Builds muscle and reduces fat in the same session using magnetic stimulation with heat.
The applicator produces a magnetic field that causes the muscle underneath to contract far harder than it can voluntarily, thousands of times across the session. Radiofrequency warms the same area at the same time, which raises the temperature of the fat layer above it. The muscle responds by thickening in the way it would to heavy training, and part of the fat layer is cleared over the weeks that follow.
Four sessions over two weeks, then a single maintenance session every three to six months.
Not for anyone with a cardiac pacemaker, defibrillator, neurostimulator, drug pump or metal implant in the treatment area. Not used over a pregnancy, and not over a copper coil in the abdominal position.
Every treatment here is assessed at consultation first. This list covers the common reasons we would not proceed, and it is not exhaustive. Bring your medication list and tell us about anything you are being treated for.
No. It builds the muscle in a specific area on a specific schedule, which is useful where training has stalled or where you cannot load an area yet. It does nothing for cardiovascular fitness and it will not maintain itself without you.
Intense but not painful. The contractions build in strength through the session and the heat sits at the level of a hot stone. You can ask for the intensity to be dropped at any point.
It is often used for abdominal separation once you are past your postnatal check and cleared to exercise, usually from around three months. We will ask for that clearance before booking.
